There are many sources of so-called medical information available on the Internet. Some are accurate; some are not. Here are some of the sites I recommend as being reliable:

Medline
This is an excellent site for accurate, current medical definitions and general information

Mayo Clinic
The famous referral center has done an excellent job in providing health information for the public.

Salina Regional Health Center
This is our local hospital’s website. At the bottom of the home page is a link for some useful health information.

Christian Medical Association
This is the website for the Christian Medical and Dental Association. I highly recommend this site for helpful information regarding ethical issues as well as resources (books, videos, etc.) concerning common life issues.

Doctors for Adults
What is an Internal Medicine Specialist? This site is tailored for use by adults in their unique time of life.

Web MD
I like this site for it’s current and frequently-updated content as well as it’s “user friendliness.”
